fundamentals of defensive carry (FDC)

The Fundamentals of Defensive Carry course is designed to educate the student about the handguns that are best for concealed carry, how to carry them safely and securely, and how to use them efficiently in the context of a Dynamic Critical Incident.

This course runs about 8 hours and you will fire around 250 rounds.

-This course will discuss the different operating characteristics of different action types and what the efficiency and deficiency points are in relation to a specific type of firearm.

This course was designed by Rob Pincus of I.C.E. Training, IDS has numerous Adjunct Instructors as well as Evan, who are certified to teach I.C.E. Training courses and Combat Focus Shooting courses. The course concepts and principles are congruent with the FHDH, Fundamentals of Home Defense Handguns Course, and DFS or Dynamic Focus Shooting.

Students will need to bring 250 rounds of ammunition and should bring their defensive handgun, if they own one, and three (3) magazines. If you do not have the proper gear or ammo please email us to make arrangements to rent (free of charge) the proper gear. We can also supply ammo at a minimal cost to you. (based on market value)
