NRA First Steps Pistol Program is designed to provide the fundamentals of safety, basic pistol shooting, maintenance and proper storage. It is intended for people who have little to no experience with firearms or have recently purchased a new firearm. *Course Certificate Accepted by VA & FL as proof of competency for the CFP/CHP/CCW Permit.
This is a natural follow-up class after an individual has attended the NRA First Steps Pistol Orientation. It provides the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and operating a pistol safely. *Course Certificate Accepted by VA & FL as proof of competency for the CFP/CHP/CCW Permit.
Improve your personal safety strategies with NRA’s Refuse To Be A Victim® Program. Refuse To Be A Victim® is a nationally recognized crime prevention program, developed by the National Rifle Association, which promotes awareness and prevention of criminal attack. Topics covered include: home, automobile, phone, technology, travel and personal security.
This 8-hour course is designed for all law-abiding citizens and provides instruction that will develop the basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential for the safe and efficient use of a firearm for protection of self and family. It is more than just a routine marksmanship course of instruction and is a pre-requisite prior to attending the NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home.

Once you have found a course above that you are interested in taking, click on the calendar link on the top Menu Bar, Navigate through the months until you find a date that works for you. Click on the course name from within the calendar, this will bring up the course info page, at the bottom of that page you will find a registration form for that specific date, fill it out, pay and you are all set.
