The National Rifle Assoication has been committed to the promotion of firearm training since its founding in 1871. Although this objective has remained constant throughout the NRA's history, the philosophy that determines the form of its training has been continuously reviewed, reevaluated and revised.
Innovative Defensive Solutions, llc (IDS) University contains modules offering specific and detailed curricula that have been requested by a number of college level Criminal Justice Directors. The courses are broad-based and designed to offer extensive / general information in a short period of time.
The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, Division of Regulatory Affairs is involved in all the aspects of registration, certification and licensure of private security. The division is responsible for processesing applications, helping citizens attain certifications and licensure.
